Megilot
Rescue mission management application for the Dead Sea Megilot (North) Region
Emergencies tend to be complex situations that require real-time management of vital information and reliable communication within the team.
'Megilot’ enables gathering information in a quick, practical manner, all while creating convenient communication between the rescuers in an emergency situation.
‘Megilot’ enables the manager of the rescue volunteers to have data on the location of the emergency and how far the volunteers are from the site. He also can receive as much data as those needing to be rescued input and his volunteers on site share, so that he can see the full picture and aid in the most fitting manner.
The Challenge
Until now, all the information in the rescue organization including - registration of volunteers, equipment warehouse data, and communication between rescuers has been collected manually. This made it difficult to collect and manage the information comfortably during emergencies.
‘Megilot’ provides a solution to these aforementioned needs by allowing the manager to simultaneously create emergency events and inform the volunteers of the location, description, or updates pertaining to the rescue. The system also allows the volunteer to join the event, consistently update the manager on his distance from the event, and receive assignments for positions according to his professional training.
The system automatically opens a chat group in the app Telegram where the volunteers can share documents, photos and audio files.
When the emergency has been taken care of, the manager can save all the details from the group chat to the management system and the event log becomes a police report.
